As I mentioned on the last program, several of the teenagers dressed in black accepted the shiny coin tracts. I then began to ask if they knew the 10 Commandments. One of the guys replied flippantly “Thou shalt not skate-board.” I laughed and said “No” and starting going through the 10 commandments. As I explained the spirit of the Law, several of the teens became quite irritated and then they started swearing and threatening me and told me to leave. However, two of the guys were transfixed as I explained the things of God. I continued sharing God’s Word with these two, while those who were hostile drew closer – now threatening me with physical harm unless I left. As they got very close, I finally turned and said, “I’m not leaving as long as one person wants to hear the words of life.” They ignored my words and threatened me again. Just about the time I thought I might get punched, the teen that was the most interested in the things of God turned to his friends and said, “If you guys don’t leave. I’m going to rearrange each one of your noses.” It turns out, the teen most interested in eternal life that day, was also the biggest and strongest of the whole group. His warning worked, and the other kids left, and I was able to share the Word without further distraction. “Wow” I thought “How awesome God is.” Truly He is Our Defense. Remember, when we share, no matter what happens, God is with us.
