Witnessing to Strangers at the Mall
Listen to the audio

As I wandered through the Mall praying for God’s direction, I spotted two young men drinking coffee. I walked over to them and asked “Excuse me, I’m doing a project and wondered if you guys had a few moments to answer some questions?” They said “Sure”, and I extended my hand and introduced myself and sat down. It’s always good to get their names, because as the conversation proceeds you can address them personally. This shows you care and the Lord will remind you to pray for them by name afterward. I turned to the one man and asked “Would you say you are a good, moral person?” He said “Yes”. “How would you define good?” He replied, “We’re both Catholic, so we try to keep the Commandments.” “So would you go to heaven if you were to die right now?” They both said they hoped so. I then took them through three of the Ten Commandments. When we got to Blaspheme they were both convicted and agitated. I asked, “Is there any hope for Blasphemers to enter heaven?” They thought maybe if they could make up for it by being good from this point on. I pointed out that it was too late, they had already broken God’s Law and the penalty had to be paid. A good conversation ensued and I ended with the gospel. They accepted booklets, we shook hands and parted. How awesome to plant eternal seeds. God is sure to water.
