Prophecy is another biblical foundation. Creation reveals our accountability to a powerful Creator. Conscience and the law reveal that the Creator is righteous and convicts us of our sin. And prophecy points us to the solution.

Jesus said “You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.”[1] In the Book of Hebrews the eternal Son of God proclaims, “Behold, I have come – In the volume of the book it is written of Me – To do Your will, O God”[2] And Revelation 19:10 states that “the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Therefore the entire Bible – both the Old Testament prophecies anticipating the coming Messiah, and the New Testament prophecies pointing to His return – testify that Jesus alone is the Redeemer. The Bible is the only book that gives hundreds of specific prophecies which direct us to the Savior of the world. When witnessing, it is good to know a few powerful Messianic prophecies by heart. It is also helpful to keep on hand materials which establish Jesus as the Christ.
